24lb. Lake Trout

Fishing in May was very good. See pictures in photo gallery and read testimonials. In early May we were catching Brown Trout & Coho salmon trolling close to shore. Later in the month we moved offshore to catch monster Lake Trout and Steelhead.

Posted on: Apr 24, 2010

The 2010 fishing season has begun and so far it is one of the best on record. We have had some very good catches of Coho Salmon and Brown Trout just about every day. See our testimonial page and check our fishing reports and photo gallery for updates.

The hard water fishing season is finally upon us and the action has been steady. We have heard of good numbers of pike and perch being caught in Braddocks.

Irondequoit Bay has seen a steady perch bite thus far for first ice. Best baits for the perch have been pink colored grubs.

Remember if you do go ice fishing this year that you have your license on you at all times and a valid receipt handy for any live bait that you purchase.  This receipt will be needed to present to the DEC certifying the bait is VHS free.

Lastly, stay safe out there.  Do not venture near open water or push the limits in this extreme weather sport.  Take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe and memorable day on the ice.  As obvious as the above advice may sound, every year there are incidents that occur that could have been avoided if only a little common sense and safety precautions were taken.
